1. Qualifications for a Store Clerk

a. Physically able to perform essential functions of the job, including bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance

b. High school diploma or equivalent education required

c. Experience with Asset or Maintenance Management Software Systems is preferred (ex-Bliss and Odyssey)

d. Must be available to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends

e. Possess personal drive and internal motivation toward higher achievement

f. Ability to sustain a high level of activity, prioritize and perform a variety of tasks

g. Self-motivated with a strong desire for task completion and follow-up

h. Sharp attention to detail and accuracy

i. Ability to communicate with suppliers in an enthusiastic and professional manner

j. Routinely demonstrates and creates a cooperative and positive work culture

k. Applicant must maintain a neat appearance and demonstrate the desire to work with contractor staff, manufacturers, suppliers, and the general public

l. Must be proficient in MS Office and other software as required

m. Maintain organization and inventory of the Motor room

n. Safely operate a forklift to move motors in and out of the motor room

o. Serve as backup to Parts Room Administrator

p. Must obtain/maintain forklift certification

q. Must be able to handle job-related stress in a fast-paced working environment

2. Responsibilities for a Store Clerk.

a. Conduct Daily Cycle Counts, quarterly complete inventory counts

b. Complies with all regulations regarding the handling of hazardous materials

c. Various office support functions (filing, data entry)

d. Receive parts, Raw MFG Material, then verify parts/Raw Material ordered on the Purchase Order against the packing slip. (stock/non-stock)

e. Count stock items and record data manually or using a computer

f. Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage in the yard

g. Processes all materials, products, parts, equipment, and supplies to customers, coworkers, or manufacturing technical support.

h. Create and maintain inventory location using the Business Control System

i. Verify inventory computations by comparing against physical count of stock and investigate discrepancies, report results to immediate supervisor

j. Drive fork-lift equipment/truck to pick up incoming stock or deliver parts to designated locations

k. Provide information when communicating with Supervisors or co-workers by telephone, in written form, email, or in person

l. Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return the damaged or faulty items to the suppliers

m. Maintain accurate records of damaged/used parts and process appropriate dispositions of the parts

n. Control inventory by ensuring that parts are being signed out and received in the system

o. Keep Parts Room clean and organized, so parts are easy to find

p. Assist Maintenance with obtaining parts

q. Work with maintenance to review parts in the storeroom and ID parts that need to be removed due to equipment changes or equipment being removed from plant

r. Continually monitor and track parts that are out of stock, and provide a list to the Administrator for re-ordering

s. Operate the scale system for incoming and outgoing truck.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.75 per hour
