We work with a Hybrid set up, with an expectation of 4/5 days per month in the office (or more if your preference).


What’s the position?


We are looking for a team member to join our accounting department, to perform the following functions:

  • Assist with the month-end closing process, including preparing daily journal entries and creating valid supporting schedules
  • Implement process improvements and system enhancements
  • Collaborate with all pertinent areas of Hard Rock (HRI) and Seminole Hard Rock Support Services (SHRSS) in clearing certain reconciling items
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures related to month-end close
  • Analyze financial data and business drivers to identify trends or issues
  • Provide support for internal and external audits related to specific areas of responsibility
  • Prepare variance analyses for both balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures as assigned
  • Assist Senior Accountant with reconciliations of intercompany accounts and reporting between HRD and its partners
  • Support ad hoc financial information requests and analyses and other special projects as assigned


What are we looking for?


Required and preferred candidate skills and experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university
  • Minimum three years' experience in GL accounting or financial reporting for a large organization with high volumes of transactions
  • Experience with a gaming or digital company a big plus
  • Background working within a GAAP accounting and SOX controls environment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting, while balancing multiple projects at any given time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Experience with Netsuite ERP highly desired
