Job Title: Staff Accountant

Department: Accounting & Finance

Reports To: Controller

AquaComfort Water Group is seeking a Staff Accountant for its Florida based business who will work as a liaison between various outside entities and the Company for payroll processing, administration of health and benefits, as well as tax preparation.

The appropriate candidate must possess the ability to collaborate exceptionally well in a small, dedicated, cross-functional leadership team focused on results, accountability, and quality product manufacturing.

Duties and responsibilities:

Major responsibilities

• In-depth experience with reconciling month-end balance sheet accounts.
• Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions.
• Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation.
• Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Participate in various department-wide initiatives.
• Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules.
• Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll.
• Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks.
• Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries.
• Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting.
• Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision.

Secondary responsibilities:

• Bi-weekly payroll processing.
• Employee onboarding and benefits administration.
• Preparing and filing tax returns and forms preparation with all necessary government agencies.

Key Qualifications

• Have a bachelor’s degree in finance/Accounting.
• Minimum 1-3 years of accounting experience with demonstrated.
• Skilled in Office 365; advanced Excel skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
