Job Summary

The IT Business Analyst acts as an intermediary between the business community and the technical community working with IT and the business to elicit, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design from which highly adoptable applications and solutions are developed and delivered.

The day-to-day role is to work with business and IT partners on understanding the business processes and performing business analysis techniques that enable ERP and EDI projects to be successful and goals to be met. This role will lead ERP requirements gathering sessions to analyze, define and document business processes, requirements, and development of user interface design specifications for technology projects. This includes working with development team members by collaborating on the development, testing, and deployment of highly adoptable solutions.

This role will also assist with project management, validation and rolling out of enhancements and bug fixes. This role ensures the management and execution of projects to develop and deliver high-quality IT solutions using Agile principles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to elicit ERP requirements.
  • Analyze, develop and manage detailed requirements documentation.
  • Monitor ServiceNow ticket queue and respond to Epicor related incidents aiming to resolve within agreed SLAs.
  • Managing EDI projects through testing, validation and implementation.
  • Work with 3rd party Epicor and EDI providers to deliver solutions.
  • Develop lifecycle documents, include detail functional requirements, software requirement specifications, detailed design specifications, user manual and use cases.
  • Translate business and user requirements into detailed system requirements for the IT organization.
  • Articulates or translates complex information in a clear, meaningful, and structured way to suit audience
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting and implementing Epicor E10.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with business analysis and requirements engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in technical writing, including analysis and document preparation.
  • Strong knowledge of EDI integration and EDI standards.
  • Agile Project management and problem-solving skills, plus ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Business Activity Queries (BAQs) and Business Process Management (BPMs)
  • Understanding of quote to cash business processes
  • Competent to work with minimal supervision in a technical capacity on most phases of assigned projects.
  • Ability to recognize complex problems and apply creativity to analyze solutions, develop solutions and procedures.

Preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technology quickly.
  • Successfully work collaboratively and with minimal supervision.
  • C#, SSRS and Crystal Reports
  • SQL Query
  • Experience of ServiceNow Incident and Change management in an ITIL environment
  • Broad knowledge of E-Commerce solutions

Education and Certifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience
