We're looking for someone to join our team as a Sr. Billing Follow Up Associate who:

Assists the revenue integrity team in post-appeal collections from managed care payers and/orother defined payers. Appealed claims are assigned to the specialist and pursued until resolution/collection.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains underpaid account inventory, ensuring active and current follow-up.
  • Properly notates follow-up efforts on every claim within the patient accounting system.
  • Scans and uploads correspondence to appropriate claims in the patient accounting system.
  • Follows the underpayment workflow from post-appeal to time of resolution/collection.
  • Performs other special projects and job-related duties as assigned.

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
  • Associate's / Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Work Experience:

  • Two years reimbursement experience with managed care payors in an acute healthcare facility experience: Preferred

The estimated base pay for this position is $20.31 to $30.45. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through years of experience, differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
