About This Position

The Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) performs a variety of duties under the direction of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). The emphasis is on providing services to students with speech and language needs as determined appropriate by the SLP and within the scope of the license for an SLPA.

Compensation

  • The SLPA position is at Level Q of the classified salary schedule and is based on a 182 or 183-day/9-month work year.
  • The estimated beginning salary for this position is $20.68-$21.94 per hour; however, highly experienced candidates may be placed higher on the salary schedule at hiring. Bilingual candidates will be placed at Level R of the classified salary schedule at the step appropriate to their years of experience.
    • Applicants who hold a Bachelor's degree will automatically be placed at Step 3
    • Where will I be placed on the salary schedule?
  • In addition to this salary, the Canby School District will pay the employee’s 6 percent PERS contribution.

Applicant agrees to assume cost and arrange for a fingerprint-based criminal records check upon offer of employment ($10-$20 at printing; $66 payroll deduction).
