SPECIALTY FLOOR WORKER Job at Sanderson Farms, Inc.
Major Responsibilities:
- Gets all equipment on bagging and cut up lines ready for operation each day.
- Checks condition of all equipment.
- Keeps line supplied with product to be run.
- Checks tare weights in all scales before start up.
- Makes sure all boxes and meat covered at wash down.
- Keeps check on all specialty supplies and informs supervisor.
- Keeps floor clean in Specialty Department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- In addition to meeting the basic qualifications for new employees, the employee must also meet the following qualifications:
- Able to work in various temperatures. This includes temperatures of 32 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Able to work in cold, wet, and humid environment.
- Able to bend stoop, reach, grasp, twist, and kneel.
- Able to lift 10 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs or more, utilizing proper lifting techniques.
- Able to work in a noisy environment.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Tolerate exposure to chemicals within OSHA limits.
- Able to wear all required PPE.
- May be required to work weekends and holidays.
- Second shift position
