Job Description

The Specialist – Procurement 1 is responsible for providing professional level support with procurement operations and/or sourcing functions.

What your day will look like:

  • Oversees new vendor setup in Coke One North America (CONA)/SAP procurement models, ensures that systems and data are appropriately maintained and updated, verifies product and pricing information, and interacts with suppliers as required
  • MS Excel spreadsheet creation and analysis work
  • Produces reports and preliminary analysis on supplier quotations and/or spend data used by procurement team
  • Communication with team, internal customers, bottler buying consortium, and outside vendors
  • Issue resolution with AP and suppliers
  • MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and PDF document work
  • Accesses supplier contracts and invoices to validate program compliance

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Ability to demonstrate independence, analytical skills, and strategic thinking
  • Effective communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, or 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • SAP exposure or similar complex software experience preferred
  • Intermediate capability with Microsoft Excel, and basic Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with all functional team members
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Frequent standing and walking

  • Continuous typing
