Job Description:
  • Client is currently seeking Experienced Software Engineers to become part of the Training Systems team in St. Louis, MO.
  • Training Systems is responsible for the design, development, manufacture, and maintenance of training devices for a wide variety of military aircraft - everything from AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopters, F-15 Fighters, and P-8 Anti-Submarine Aircraft.
  • The selected applicant will be a member of a high performing, collaborative Rotorcraft Training Systems Vehicle Simulation team.
  • The team is responsible for delivering real-time high fidelity training simulators for the AH-64 Apache, AH-6 Little Bird, CH-47 Chinook, and MH-139 Grey Wolf.
  • You will get to experience the full life-cycle of software development where you will have a hand in defining requirements; designing the solution; implementing, integrating, and testing the software; and receiving feedback from our customers.
  • The team uses Agile methodologies to support all aspects of product development, including project management.
  • The applicant will be encouraged to actively help the team to continuously improve and develop innovative and creative solutions to products and processes.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Support complex software engineering projects to develop and maintain code and integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
  • Develop and maintain the documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
  • Create and executing test procedures and document test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
  • Documents deployed processes and tools and collect metrics.
  • Gathers information to support software project management.
  • Executing software research and development projects.
  • Troubleshoots complex software issues.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
  • 2+ years of programming experience with Java, C++, C# & Python
  • Avionics experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
  • Past simulation experience
  • Programming experience in Ada
  • 3+ years of experience in real-time software development
  • Experience developing software using Linux OS
  • Agile software development knowledge
Education/experience:
  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
  • In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
