MAIN FUNCTION:

The Social Media Specialist, will maintain the look, feel and visual creative content production of the PNY / XLR8 Gaming brands, help create and administer content on all social media platforms to build an audience, drive awareness and ensure community engagement and conversion. The Specialist will also monitor metrics, respond to community comments, and oversee creative design.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-5 years of Social Media Visual Content creation experience
  • BS in Business Administration or a related major
  • Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a Digital Media Specialist
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Premier Pro, Lightroom, and Photoshop
  • Working knowledge of social posting management platforms (i.e. HubSpot, Hootsuite)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Existing or future fan of PNY & XLR8 Gaming with a strong desire to translate that passion into effective and engaging on-brand social content
  • Experience in video production, editing and post-production
  • Creative thinker who can be both innovative while execution oriented
  • In-depth knowledge, passion for and understanding of social media platforms and best practices at a creative, audience and technical level (including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube)
  • Resourceful self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative in a fast paced environment
  • Must present a strong portfolio of prior relevant social media work including on-camera video content
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication a must
  • Experience analyzing and summarizing metrics to identify trends and make recommendations
  • Experience managing a social content calendar, paid social advertising campaigns and social activity monitoring

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce engaging, creative visual content for the brands’ social communities (photo, video, gif, etc..) and adapt our existing brand voice to the social environment.
  • Create regular and meaningful content for all social media platforms, including editing, publishing and sharing content daily (texts, images, and video) to boost customer engagement and inspire the target audience to take action.
  • Plan and maintain social publishing calendar - balancing brand, editorial, & campaign content across all channels.
  • Deliver visual content against production plans on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Optimize social media engagement by capturing and analyzing social media metrics, insights and best practices.
  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.
  • Work with the Social Media Manager to define the visual look and feel of the brand per platform, per medium, and produce visual content accordingly.
  • Identify trends, new technology and new platforms in social media, mobile, viral marketing, and blogs to stay ahead of the curve and maintain relevancy.
  • Be reactive to culturally relevant trends and moments. Be able to identify the resources and put into production with speed.
  • Draw insights from analytics and build reporting presentations to help optimize and grow the company’s following and engagement for the future.
  • Monitor, respond to, and report on online comments and direct messages.
  • Setup and monitor social media paid ads across all platforms.
  • Create content proposals, develop social campaigns, and work with the creative team to develop assets.
  • Support and manage social influencer activations such as reviews, sponsored content, and giveaways.
