Under the direction of the Director of Student Information Systems and daily direction from the SIS Coordinator, the SIS Compliance/Enrollment Specialist will perform a variety of duties to support the SIS Team. One of the SIS/Compliance Enrollment Specialist’s primary responsibilities is to facilitate and execute new student enrollments with a high level of accuracy and excellent customer service. This position will also be responsible for receiving cum folders, filing them and sending them to other schools. The SIS Compliance/Enrollment Specialist will be directly involved with the Student Information System (SIS) and SIS compliance. The SIS Compliance/Enrollment Specialist will work within a small team to ensure that parents initial interactions with the School are positive.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responds and initiates telephone calls and email messages regarding prospective enrollments and provides information concerning the programs offered, policies, and procedures. E.
  • Performs technical and specialized functions in the processing of enrollment paperwork according to the enrollment guidelines for placement and accommodations. E
  • Tracks and records receipt of necessary enrollment documents and tracks those that are processed. E
  • Verifies and corrects data when necessary. E
  • Audits completed work for accuracy. E
  • Attends professional development trainings and remains knowledgeable in areas of educational law relating to enrollment, immunizations, and admissions. E
  • Collects unduplicated count information from students and inputs the information into the Student Information System (SIS). E
  • Maintains knowledge of various school programs, school requirements, and is able to effectively communicate the information to staff and parents. E
  • Prepares, requests, transmits, maintains, and responds to requests for student transcripts, cum folders, and other official documents in a timely manner. E
  • Completes work record compliance, attendance recording, data entry in School Pathways, all documents for and after enrollment and monitors compliance procedures. E
  • Attends various activities and recruitment events when necessary. E
  • Assists with processing student transfers. E
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to interact with office personnel and the teaching staff in a positive manner Ability to complete assigned work in an accurate and timely manner
  • Must be able to communicate well and display excellent customer service
  • Ability to interact with parents, teachers, and the community in a helpful, courteous, and friendly manner
  • Demonstrate an excellent level of cultural acceptance and inclusion
  • Ability to stay organized in a fast paced environment
  • Comfortable with online/virtual meeting platforms including Google and Zoom, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Google (docs, sheets, forms, drives), and data management environments
  • Ability to learn and follow Charter School regulations and procedures
  • Ability to be proactive and able to solve problems
  • Selected candidate must live in the Northern California, Sacramento area and be able to commute to El Dorado Hills 2-3 days a week when needed.

Education and Licenses:

  • Graduation from high school/GED.
  • Some college credits from a junior college, preferred
  • Must possess a valid California Driver’s License

  • Physical agility and stamina (occasionally to frequently)

  • Occasionally climbing, reaching overhead (above the shoulders), twisting, crouching or kneeling
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard (occasionally to frequently)
  • Continually listening and speaking to exchange information.
