General Description/Purpose :

The Showroom Coordinator will provide a high level of service to ensure employee, customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction. The Showroom Coordinator does this by providing support to Stickley retail showroom operational activities including inventory and showroom supply control, customer service, accounting, sales order entry, delivery and other showroom activities. The Showroom Coordinator does these functions in the support of Stickley Retail Operations and the sale of Furniture.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists with showroom operational performance that impacts operations and customer service.
  • Effectively communicates to all levels of the organization, conducts personal planning for key responsibilities to drive positive results, and displays a professional attitude and represent the company with integrity and professionalism.
  • Monitors business goals for sales, service, operational activities, and redirects efforts when results fall short.
  • Understands and ensures the effective execution of Stickley operations through development and training or coworkers including but not limited to AX, sales order entry, delivery, and add on sales programs.
  • Assists with and supports the execution of Stickley operations including, but not limited to: sales order entry, delivery, inventory and showroom supply control, customer service, accounting, and sales order entry.
  • Assists in ensuring that Showrooms appearance, staging, and stock presentation are in grand opening condition on a daily basis.
  • Monitors and communicates to Showroom Management as needed on inventory turns, returns & allowances, and account receivables to meet budgeted objectives.
  • Participate in showroom/distribution functions as needed including, but not limited to: interacting with Manlius departments, answering phones, greeting, catalog/price list upkeep, cleaning, inventory, delivery, snow removal, wrapping furniture & accessories, tagging, loading unloading goods.
  • Must be able to multi task and prioritize. Effective communication skills, pleasant, and professional.
  • Responsible for greeting clients in a customer focused manner and providing appropriate follow up contact based upon customer needs.
  • Maintain a sufficient level of product knowledge to assist in showroom activities as needed.
  • Works effectively with all Showroom Employee's, RBO, customer service, and other various corporate personnel.
  • Reports to the Showroom Manager on a daily basis during work days for direction, support, coaching and proactively and effectively communicates operational, merchandise, and client concerns.

Essential Knowledge, Skills:

  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, counting, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and knowledge of weights and measure, utilize measuring tools such as tape measures and other measuring devices to sufficiently handle job tasks.
  • Understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and employee inquiries.
  • Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions. (Other preferences will be given for special language skills when there is a business need).
  • Knowledge of company's mission, purpose, goals and the role of every employee in achieving each of them.
  • Ability to operate facility equipment as required in assigned area including, but not limited to: LRT, telephone, cutting equipment, sanding equipment, presses, hand tools, painting and staining equipment, computers, copiers, fax machines, forklifts, pallet jacks, electric lifts, etc.
  • Satisfactorily complete all Stickley training requirements including, but not limited to: departmental training, annual Hazardous Material and environmental training, Forklift
  • Certification/, Grade Training (lumber) etc.
  • Ability to interpret company documents and literature and UPC information.

  • Able to understand and respond appropriately to customer and employee inquiries.
  • Position requires strong communication skills.
  • Ability to operate facility equipment as required in assigned area and assist with staging and movement of furniture, rugs, and accessories.
