Job Description

Danfoss is hiring immediately for a Shipping Clerk with a $2,000 sign-on bonus, day one benefits, vacation, and pension plan! This position is based at our Eden Prairie, MN manufacturing facility on 2nd shift (12:10 PM - 8:35 PM). Pay progressions every 6 months up to 24 months AND general wage increases annually. Training is provided for this role.

Job Responsibilities

• Performs a combination of shipping and receiving duties including incoming shipments of merchandise or other materials and check to see if they are dock to stock or is inspection required
• Ship goods from establishment, prepare records, complete bill of lading and post weight and shipping charges. Generate customer invoices and customs paperwork for international shipments
• Verify completeness of shipment against bill of lading, invoices and other controls
• Manage and coordinate special shipments that may develop on a moment's notice
• Load & Unload freight shipments on a dock-high van trailer or flatbed trailerReport damaged goods or shortage of goods
• Gather proof of delivery for customer inquiries
• Other duties as assigned, including training

Background & Skills

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent from an accredited institution is required.
• Must be able to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred qualification: 1 year relevant experience preferred. Examples of relevant areas of experience: manufacturing, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience, including forklift certification; and/or customer service with administrative responsibilities.

Job Criteria:

• Ability to consistently stand/walk and handle average weight materials. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.

• Great communication with internal and external parties
• Ability to complete simple mathematical calculations
• Ability to obtain forklift certification and operate a sit down and reach truck
