2nd Shift: Mondays through Fridays 3:00pm to 11:30pm

SHIPPING CLERK

A shipping clerk is responsible for coordinating and managing the shipment of goods within a company or organization. Their primary role is to ensure that products are packaged, labeled, and shipped correctly and in a timely manner. The shipping clerk plays a crucial role in the efficient and effective management of the shipping process, ensuring that products are delivered to customers accurately, on time, and in good condition. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures are important for success in this role.

Position Function:

  • Accurately prepare and maintain all paperwork for shipping, receiving and storage of product.
  • Accurately and efficiently maintain all systems and files pertaining to shipping, receiving and storage of products. This includes transferring products between offsite warehouse locations in the company computer system.
  • Process shipping orders/ prepare product (cover, wrap, skid) as needed.
  • Load trucks with products (semis, box trucks, trailers).
  • Prepare all necessary reports as needed by company personnel.
  • Prepare components and products for production departments as needed.
  • Maintain certification on material handling equipment (MHE).
  • Perform various tasks as assigned by Department Manager or senior management.

Position Expectations:

  • Attention to detail for accurate documentation and timely reporting of all information.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to switch gears and respond to quickly changing order priorities.
  • Maintain professional relationships with customers, both internal and external.
  • Assist truckers and freight services loading and unloading and with paperwork.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have Valid Driver’s License.
  • Experience in a shipping and receiving clerical role a plus.
  • Advanced level knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Above average communication and organizations skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
