Shear Operator Job at The Atlas Group
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Shear operator calculates how best to arrange material so there is very little waste.
REPONSIBILITIES:
- Use AX as trained to find and pull material for orders
- Cut order per router instructions
- Follow set guideline for proper inspection of material and cut size
- Tag material with shop order number and count using proper color code tags.
- Stage material for shipping using proper shipping guidelines by material type
- Keep work areas clean
- Use proper lifting equipment when handling material , ask for help when needed
- Know your equipment , maintain set check areas
- Update AX lot notes with all material changes.
- Do job cards for all material used.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Authority to stop any production order for quality concerns.
Performs other similar or related duties as necessary.
