WBC Mechanical is currently seeking applicants that are excited to learn a new trade or expand their knowledge in an existing trade. WBC Mechanical has full time employment openings for the Service Technician/Mechanic and Welder positions in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls areas. Qualified individuals will be capable of working independently and in teams, have basic mechanical knowledge, will have a positive attitude, and be eager to assist with customer needs. Individuals will be able to communicate clearly, clarify unclear communications, and respond promptly to management and customers needs. HVAC, Mechanical, or Plumbing licenses are preferred but not required, we are hiring all experience levels. High school diploma or GED required. Applicants must pass a pre-hire drug and alcohol screening, pre-hire physical, and possess a valid driver’s license during all times of employment.

BENEFITS PACKAGE:

o 2 weeks paid vacation in the first year of employment.

o Pay ranges from $23/hour to $40+ per hour. Starting wage is $23/hour + based on education level, experience level, and mechanical abilities.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

-Service, repair, and installation of mechanical and electrical/control systems.

-Basic troubleshooting.

-Use of hand and power tools.

-Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.

-Stick welding and Tig welding (required for welders only).

-Working independently and in teams.

-Read and comprehend service manuals.

-Documentation of work assignments, daily time logs, and data tracking systems.
