Quality Manufacturing Corporation, a fast-paced, metal fabrication company is looking to add an Senior level Staff Accountant to the Accounting department. This position shares responsibility for the timeliness and accuracy of the inventory, cost and general ledger accounting processes. This is a key role and must have strong analytic and problem solving skills, positive mindset, and a collaborative approach.

Position Requirements

• Performs in depth analysis of direct labor, material and production cost, and financially closes production orders. Investigates variances from analysis and applies to ledger any necessary adjustments.
• Provides cost accounting support on finished and in process jobs. Prepares analysis for upper manager on deviations from quoted estimates and recommends solutions to improve profitability on jobs.
• Analyzes inventory; identifies solutions to deviations and determines the financial impact.
• Performs monthly analysis of gross margin on items sold for financial statements; calculates and implements adjustments of costs of goods sold.
• Analyzes and reconciles physical inventory to general ledger balances for monthly and year-end financial statements.
• Serve as back-up to various areas of the Finance Department as needed.
• Prepare general ledger monthly reconciliations.
• Assist with preparation of monthly financials and other analytical management reports.
• Assist with preparation of year-end schedules, financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting as requested.
• Assist Accounting Manager and Upper Management Team in financial analysis as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience

• 5-8 years Accounting experience preferred
• Previous accounting experience in a manufacturing industry required
