What are we looking for?
Intertek Alchemy is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join the Finance Team in Austin, Texas . You will be responsible for the accurate calculation and accounting for revenue recognition of the company. You will work in determining proper recognition of all new and existing contracts and that the appropriate accounting treatment is applied. Additionally, you will also work assuring the companies accounting procedures and practices comply with relevant internal control and public reporting needs.

What you’ll do:

• Calculation of our revenue recognition in compliance with IFRS to include reviewing revenue recognition inputs on all sales orders in NetSuite
• Drive decisions on revenue recognition accounting
• Manage monthly and quarterly revenue close process
• Recognize revenue on one-time revenue items
• Complete annual VSOE/BESP study
• Calculate, reconcile, and review deferred revenue monthly and prepare required journal entries on a monthly basis
• Audit recognized revenue on all high dollar sales orders
• Provide revenue and deferred revenue inputs to forecasting process
• Analyze and explain variances against budget in general ledger accounts
• Ensure revenue recognition and deferred revenue are correct after sales order modifications
• Assist in the development, completion, and maintenance of internal control documentation
• Prepare assigned account reconciliations and audit schedules
• Work with internal customers to resolve related revenue and contract related inquiries
• Perform contract revenue analysis and advise on the resulting revenue accounting treatment
• Key support role to the audit team during fieldwork
• Other analysis and projects as assigned

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years relevant experience
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
• Can work both independently and within a team setting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
• Experience with NetSuite revenue cognition a plus
• CPA or Public Experience a plus
• Experience with IFRS or similar revenue deferral calculations a plus
• Experience with internal control compliance requirements a plus
