Job Description Summary:

The Portfolio Management Senior Project Manager / Scrum Master is responsible for the execution of multiple simultaneous technology deployment / migration projects in support of delivering business intelligence/reporting applications.

Job Summary:

Essential Functions:

  • Serves in the scrum master role, ensuring the team "honors the process" of the Agile framework - events/ceremonies are conducted as prescribed; stories planned are delivered in sprints based on the team velocity; sprint goals are defined and the “definition of done” is clear/measurable
  • Serves as the primary liaison between team members, vendors, leadership and, at times, the customer.
  • Works with the customer and the delivery and support team to define schedule and/or roadmap for delivery of the scope of work and requirements.
  • Coordinates deliverables across internal organizations such as IT, Telecom, networking, and security and privacy.
  • Facilitates effective communication and interaction among team members (developers, architects, QC/QA and business and system analysts) removing barriers/roadblocks.
  • Facilitates continuous/relentless improvement practices through team retrospectives, creating an environment that improves collaboration and team velocity in order to deliver client deliverables with quality and timeliness
  • Develops/maintains appropriate artifacts and ensures current status/state of the project is well-communicated to the business customer and leadership, effectively managing risks and issues, escalating as appropriate;
  • Adopts and measures built-in quality practices that avoid the cost of delays (CoDs) associated by reducing/minimizing recalls, rework, and defect remediation
  • Supports the project in operationalizing the effective use of business intelligence tools through the coordination of training and transition to post-deployment support.
  • Elicits feedback related to Products deployed facilitating a loop back to the appropriate Product manager and leadership team.
  • Provides support for new business development and bids as needed.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical, business, public policy or financial discipline.
  • 5 years of project management experience.
  • At least 2 years of senior management experience.

Preferred Education and Experience


  • Master’s Degree in a technical, business, public policy or financial discipline.
  • 7 years of experience, 5 years at a senior management level.
  • Experience in more than one of the following disciplines: healthcare, telephony, consulting, development, engineering, finance, and/or operations.
  • Experience in Agile Methodology
