Overview:
Hepburn and Sons LLC is seeking an Senior Mechanical Engineer to support several Navy, DoD, and Government customers, conducting systems engineering and integration for platforms (ship, submarine, craft, vehicle) and modular mission or flexible payload systems that require expertise in the fields of HM&E Open System Architecture (OSA) development.

This is a contingent position based on award/funding from the customer.

Responsibilities:
  • May include responsibilities under the following areas:
    • HM&E Open System Architecture (OSA) Development Support
    • Requirements Traceability Support
    • HM&E Architecture Verification and Validation
    • Program Management Support
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Secret level clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in one of the following engineering disciplines:
    • Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering.
  • Approximately ten (10) years of experience in leading the research, development, and test and evaluation of platforms and systems (inclusive of subsystems, components and appurtenances). The 10 years of experience must include at least some experience in all of the following:
    • Applying mechanical or marine technology to platform development programs, with relevant applications of HM&E open systems architecture.
    • Demonstrating leadership and project management skills.
    • Conducting independent analysis and assessment studies.
