Munich Re’s IT Risk and Security Access Management team (ITRS) is responsible for protecting privileged access to Munich Re’s assets in a holistic way and to provision access to system resources in a compliant manner.
ITRS Unified Access Management (UAM) is part of the ITRS service delivery organization and responsible for Privileged Access Management, Direct Provisioning and performs controls to validate the adherence to security standards.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior IT Risk Technical Specialist to be part of ITRS UAM team, focused on the design, build, execution and management of Privileged Access Management services to protect Munich Re from risks related to highly-privileged administrative access. Candidate must be a seasoned IT Security professional with a deep background and passion for delivering enterprise-level governance and operations in a large global company with significant exposure to regulatory issues. Candidate will manage technologies and processes aimed at protecting company information and assets from unauthorized access, misuse, modification or destruction.
The candidate will be accountable to:
  • Be a subject matter expert and thought leader for Privileged Access Management governance and operations at Munich Re
  • Design a comprehensive strategy for Privileged Access Management processes and remediation activities to improve security and reduce risk of unauthorized access across the Munich Re enterprise
  • Provide business sponsorship for the GPAM project (part of User Access Management program to remediate VAIT findings); oversee and direct enterprise-wide privileged access migration efforts
  • Build a consortium with Munich Re security practitioners and system owners to implement privileged access clean-up actions and deploy go-forward PAM controls
  • Build and report key risk metrics to measure the success of the PAM efforts
  • Drive efforts to optimize the configuration and scope of the CyberArk platform to achieve maximum risk reduction and security operations value
  • Provide guidance and design support for service practices for the operational GPAM/CyberArk service, to ensure quality performance and fulfilment of Service Level Objectives (SLO)
  • Create and present Privileged Access Management updates for senior IT leadership, Integrated Risk Management and the Board of Management
  • Guide improvements for creation and management of Non-Personal Accounts (NPA)
  • Monitor key performance indicators, identify gaps in performance metrics, and recommend/execute changes for efficiency/quality improvements

Your profile

  • IT degree or equivalent combination of related work experience required
  • 5+ years of experience in the Cyber Security field required
  • CISSP, CISA or similar industry certification required
  • Very good knowledge of complex IT organizations and experience with security-relevant topics, security technologies and a related knowledge of the market
  • Deep knowledge of Privileged Access Management principles required
  • Experience in a Global company is required
  • Strong planning, organizational and presentation skills
  • Highly result oriented and structured
  • Ability to build teams and strong skills in the management of internal and external relationships, also extensive experience in an international context
  • Very good command of English, both spoken and written
