Summary:

Goldbelt, Inc. Nisga’a Tek is seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst. This person will research and analyzes an organization's security threat information; and plans and develops security measures to protect critical information from counter-threats and possible attacks.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Aid management in the implementation of security procedures, and documents security and safety policies and guidelines Protect sensitive information by ensuring required software is functioning and being used correctly Review logging events in the infrastructure to ensure security incidents are detected Research new methods to improve digital security and eliminate vulnerabilities.
  • Reviews and resolves help desk tickets Provide technical support in respect to security issues Monitor and review user access logs and provides user usage reports to management Provide recommendations and prioritization strategies based on findings Maintain and review audit readiness metrics to provide leadership Support senior leadership with gathering information, artifact submission, and audit response
Qualifications:

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience with operating system internals for Linux, Windows, or macOS platforms. Experience with network and host-based collection tools Understanding of classic and emerging threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures in both pre- and post-exploitation phases of attack lifecycles. Deep understanding of incident response processes Advanced knowledge of information security best practices, technologies and concepts: firewalls, intrusion detection, assessment tools, encryption, certificate authority, etc. Advanced experience with industry-standard security technologies and assessment tools Demonstrable experience with designing and leading a vulnerability management program Experience performing information security assessments, monitoring security systems, and responding to incidents within complex environments with distributed systems

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technology related field Cisco Certified Network Professional or SolarWinds Certified Professional Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) plus one additional specialized certification relevant to the scope of the PWS Tenable Security Center 5.x Certification (DISA/CDTC/Tenable University) or 3 years of related experience IAT III Baseline Certification (CISSP/CASP) Minimum fifteen (15) years of related experience
