Department Overview
The Gas Regulatory Compliance and Reporting team oversees compliance with regulatory requirements, provides field support to provide guidance on expectations for CPUC Inspections, manages pre-audit data requests from the CPUC, compliance projects, and various data reporting:
Manages the relationship with the CPUC’s Safety and Enforcement Division, providing leadership, coordination, guidance, and follow-through for regulatory compliance audits and regulatory commitments.
Manages the Safety and Enforcement (SED) data response process, which provides accurate and consistent information to the data requestors.
Coordinates closely with the Gas Operations field personnel to familiarize them with the CPUC audit process and expectations.
Works closely with field organizations to ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
Guiding and support to field operations for code requirements as well as PG&E standards and procedure requirements.
Promoting system wide solutions to compliance gaps.
Management of the Self-Report Program and Enhanced Oversight and Enforcement Process for Gas Operations.

Position Summary
Provide analytical and technical expertise to support data reporting, maintenance and tracking of regulatory commitments in an electronic data management system, primarily MetricStream or ECTS. This includes entry of new issues and ongoing reporting of status through the validation of submitted completion records.

This role manages all internal compliance data reporting and analysis on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis through updates to the Tableau Compliance Dashboard, Enterprise Data Capture Template, Centralized Metrics Reporting, and the Commitments Information Center.

This role provides compliance data for the Weekly Operating Reviews and prepares and submits the monthly compliance data for the Gas Operations Risk and Reliability (RCC) monthly meetings. This includes preparation of the RCC PowerPoint presentation .. This role leads the end of year data analysis, narrative and mitigative actions for top compliance issue identification and resolution. Maintain Tableau dashboards on a monthly cadence. Quarter preparation and submittal the Gas Quarterly Incident Report to the CPUC Safety and Enforcement Division.

Location is flexible within the PG&E Service Territory, please note hiring leader will make final decision of what are appropriate headquarters for the role based on business need.

Position will require up to 25% of travel time in work schedule.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $102,000
Bay Area Maximum: $162,000

&/OR
California Minimum: $97,000
California Maximum: $154,000

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Job Responsibilities
Manages data and input into an electronic database ECTS and MetricStream for commitments.
Conducts non-standard research and analysis for information requests resolving best sources, approaches, or analytical methods to meet the request/need.
Handles compliance data and reporting through multiple reporting streams on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis including Tableau, Data Capture Template (DCT), Centralized Metrics Reporting tool and Commitments Information Center (CIC) including management of Tactical Implementation Plans (TIP)
Demonstrates sophisticated knowledge of regulatory policy and compliance concepts
Clearly articulates recommendations and findings in both written and oral communications both internally and externally and to functional management
Works with all levels of leadership (up to and including VP) across functions to provide relevant compliance information and direction for decision making
Develops and presents alternatives and strategies for responding to requests from various internal/external sources for information (including interpretation, clarification, background, analysis, and recommendations). Conducts non-standard research and analysis for information requests determining the best sources, approaches, or analytical methods to meet the request/need.
Conducts data analysis and modeling to ensure alignment with timeliness and metrics operating and customer experience.
Identifies individual data anomalies and develops remedies and resolutions to ensure accurate, complete, and timely analysis reporting.
Develops and prepares strategic briefing materials, summaries, communications, and recommendations for PG&E management, client organizations, and regulators.
Responsible for the execution, monitoring, and direction of implemented corrective actions regarding projects within Gas System Operations.
Monitors and documents specifications, analysis results, and recommendations.
Collaborates with leadership and project/team leaders to coordinate the status of plans and workflow for future projects.
May provide training, guidance, and instruction to less experienced gas operations (compliance) specialists.

Qualifications-

Minimum:
Bachelor’s (BA/BS) degree or equivalent experience
Five (5) years of related experience

Desired:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or job-related subject area or equivalent experience
Must have Analytical knowledge
Experience with regulatory and customer service issues related to gas operations
Experience in research, writing, and analyzing information
Gas field industry experience
Knowledge in CFR 192, Federal and State requirements
Knowledge in SQL database development
Experience in Tableau, Bi Warehouse, BoJ reporting, CMC, DCT, SQL or other reporting tools
Advanced Experience in Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet
Willing to travel more than 25%
Experience in SAP
