The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Flight Test Navigator to join our team in Barksdale AFB, LA or Edwards AFB, CA. This role supports developmental and operational flight test on the B-52 at Barksdale AFB, Edwards AFB, and others.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plans and conducts ground, flight and maintenance test flights for experimental, prototype, new production, and modified production aircraft to determine system functionality, aircraft performance, structural integrity, and certification of aircraft

  • Supports program design, test, and safety reviews as required at various locations

  • Contributes to technical reports, flight manuals and flight reports

  • Assists with evaluation of flight data (e.g., system performance, weapons carriage and release, and equipment malfunction) and participates in aircraft design to recommend changes to design based on operational considerations

  • Support various sustainment test and operational test efforts at Barksdale AFB

  • Support various developmental test efforts at Edwards AFB, including the B-52 radar modernization, B-52 re-engine, weapons test, and hypersonics research

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Current FAA Class II medical certificate or the ability to obtain one

  • Experience as a B-52 and/or B-1 Radar Navigator

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

  • Master Degree or higher

  • Military test experience in the B-52, B-1 or B-2

  • Experience with the DoD acquisition process or program office

  • Graduates of the Defense Contract Management Agency’s Government Flight Representatives course and/or experience as a government flight representative

  • Military Test Pilot School Graduate

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 8 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
