The Opportunity
Senior Failure Analyst
The Senior Failure Analyst is responsible for independently perform high quality and complex metallurgical evaluations and/or failure analyses to meet customer expectations in a timely and cost-effective manner. Serve as a technical expert across IMR sites. Develop methodologies and support development of technical expertise and technology.

Your Challenge:
  • Conduct high quality failure analyses and metallurgical testing evaluations demonstrating proficiency and expertise in utilization of a broad variety of techniques.
  • Write failure analysis reports and metallurgical evaluation reports in an accurate and timely manner; communicate results to the appropriate individuals.
  • Perform testing and tasks in support of other departments.
  • Provide technical leadership to the lab
  • Create and execute trainings - Train other employees within and across departments on methods, procedures and other practices as required.
  • Proactively assess problems and identify and suggest appropriate solutions.
  • Liaison with customers regarding incoming failure jobs, preparation of quotes, interpretations of customer requirements, and updates about their jobs.
Your Expertise:
  • Ability to exhibit & maintain a high level of metallurgical and engineering skills and knowledge of material science.
  • Bachelor's in engineering (Material Sciences, Metallurgy), Masters or PhD is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work with metallurgical tools, equipment, and instrumentation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in and knowledge of diverse range of specifications and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Possession of or qualification to pursue P.E. or other professional licensing
  • 3-5 years' experience in metallurgical engineering, material science or related field.
