JOB STATUS: Full-time
TRAVEL: Estimated at 5%
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)
  • REQUIRE Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an Engineering, Math, Physical Sciences, and/or Computer Science field
  • REQUIRE 5 years of experience managing, conducting, and reporting test and evaluation events
  • PREFER Master’s degree in any engineering discipline
  • PREFER 10 years of professional experience in engineering
  • PREFER IAM/IAT/IASAE Certification
  • Security clearance at the Secret Level

SECURITY CLEARANCE:
Secret, and U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants
EDUCATION: REQUIRE Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an Engineering, Math, Physical Sciences, and/or Computer Science field
PREFER Master’s degree in any engineering discipline

CERTIFICATIONS:
IAM/IAT/IASAE Certification
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: REQUIRE 5 years of experience managing, conducting, and reporting test and evaluation events
PREFER 10 years of professional experience in engineering

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Prefer:
  • Master’s degree in any engineering discipline
  • 10 years of professional experience in engineering
Desired:
  • 5 years of experience directly related to software development of autonomous systems
  • 1 year of experience working with software development teams in an Agile environment

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Engineer (Modeling and Simulation) shall be responsible for:
  • Applying the theories and principles of science and mathematics to research and develop economical solutions to technical problems.
  • Designing products and machinery, implementing improved ways to extract, process, and use raw materials, such as petroleum and natural gas, developing new materials that both improve the performance of products and take advantage of advances in technology.
  • Analyzing the impact of the products they develop or the systems they design on the environment and on the people using them.
  • In addition to design and development, many engineers work in testing, production, or maintenance by supervising production in factories, determining the causes of breakdowns, and the testing of manufactured products to maintain quality. They also estimate the time and cost to complete projects.
