Munich Re America Services (MRAS) is a shared service organization that delivers services to all Munich Re US P&C Companies and other group entities.The person in this role will support the HSB Enterprise Information Management platform (EIM). They will be responsible for data solution design and governance of the platform. In addition, the architect will be responsible for design and coding guidelines and standards. This individual will collaborate with other PIRI units on the development of these standards. This role also focuses on crafting the Data Strategy & Vision for HSB data, in collaboration with our Munich Re Enterprise Architecture Group, and delivering solution design and support for data centric projects at HSB.
Your profile
Education and Experience:- Masters Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)
- 10+ years of relevant Data related experience;
- 7+ years of architecture experience
- 3 years of Big Data / Hadoop experience
- Strong preference for experience with Informatica Data Engineering platform
- Strong preference for experience with Informatica Cloud platform (IICS)
- Prior experience with Spark and Hadoop
- Working knowledge of the following data domains:
- Data management software and process (ETL, MDM, Data Quality)
- Database and File System technologies (SQL, Hive, Azure Data Lake Storage, etc.)
- Data Delivery Techniques (including Data Virtualization)
- Data Consumption Techniques and Tooling (Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Data Services)
- Experience in deploying to the Cloud
- Candidate should have experience architecting, designing, documenting and delivery of enterprise level data solutions. This would include the defining of Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Architecture) for BI&A centric solutions
- Candidate should have experience with data modelling (3rd Normal Form, Dimensional)
- Experience with Informatica (and the Informatica Cloud IICS) is a plus
- Experience with Analytic platforms (Data Bricks) a plus
- Azure Cloud experience is a strong plus
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
- Works well within a collaborative team setting
