As a Market by Macy’s Senior Customer Experience Colleague you are responsible for providing an outstanding customer shopping experience by demonstrating superior styling skills and product knowledge across multiple selling areas and by the use of technology tools You will connect to the community through social media and by developing and executing events.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure the customer is the top priority. Engage, service and provide a personalized experience to our customers in store or virtually by leveraging technology enabled selling tools, regardless of whether the interaction culminates is a sale.
  • Role model the We Care service model (safety, support, service) with both colleagues and customers.
  • Assist the customer and influence the sale by making the best product recommendations, focusing on size, fit, and style while leveraging product knowledge and digital resources (product descriptions, customer reviews, etc.).
  • Engage and interact with customers during their in store or online journey to acquire and grow client relationships by leveraging elevated outreach tools including My Client and company social media assets
  • Support the store leadership team in the planning and coordination of events through client outreach, social media, Eventbrite, the creation of marketing materials, and the leveraging of Macy’s Style Crew tools.
  • Effectively develop and maintain relationships with peers and People Leaders to problem solve and create the best possible outcome for the customer. Share customer feedback daily to create a better customer experience.
  • Demonstrate a professional, can-do attitude.
  • Maintain high customer floor readiness standards by ensuring receipt of new merchandise, unpacking new merchandise, merchandising incoming inventory according to visual guidelines, and supporting the reconfiguration of store fixtures to prepare new layout and visual presentation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of Point of Sale (POS) systems, client acquisition systems, and other store technology, including, but not limited to computers, tablets, smart phones, work-associated apps, and social media.
  • Meet MBM determined MyClient, Virtual Selling, Customer Experience, and Loyalty goals.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate and present information to customers, peers,

and all levels of management.

  • Mathematical Skills: Basic functions such as addition, subtraction, calculating percentages; use of calculator.
  • Reasoning Ability: Self-starter; solution oriented; good time management skills; ability to work independently

and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and build relationships to convert customers into

clients.

  • Physical Demands: Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, standing, lifting at least 30 lbs., may involve

stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders; vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.

  • Other Skills: Enjoys fashion and style, retail, and people interaction.
  • Hours: Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours, which may include days,
evenings, weekends, and holidays.
