We are looking for a Senior Climate & Sustainability Leader to join our rapidly growing multidisciplinary New York City office. You would be a key member of our Americas East climate and sustainability portfolio (CSSP) leadership team, growing work and delivering transformational advisory and design projects for key clients such as NYC EDC, Amtrak, MTA, NYC DDC, NYSERDA, PANYNJ, NY Public Library, Delta Air Lines, and a range of leading national property developers and owners, amongst many others.


Responsibilities

  • Collaboration with the Americas regional CSSP leadership and business leaders to inform and deliver regional strategy
  • Developing the annual plan for delivery of climate & sustainability services to the NY market in line with the Americas and global strategies
  • Business Development and Market Connection for climate & sustainability services in the East Geography, which includes our offices in NY, New Jersey, Boston, Washington DC and Chicago , with a particular focus on the NYC metro market and tri-state area
  • Supporting and leading bids for climate & sustainability services across Americas
  • Delivery of climate & sustainability projects as a project manager, project director and/or subject matter expert.
  • Delivery and support of climate & sustainability services on Arup multidisciplinary projects across East Geography
  • Growing the climate & sustainability services annual revenue and projects delivered

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Architecture, Engineering, Planning, Science, Policy or related field (Master’s Degree preferred)
  • 15+ years of professional experience in the built environment with a focus on sustainability
  • Professional Licensure or accreditation in appropriate field (AICP, LEED, PE, RA)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in climate and sustainability services
  • Project management experience for projects of at least $500,000 in fees/project costs
  • Market profile through professional relationships and speaking engagements
  • Business Development track record, with particular emphasis on metro NYC and tri-state area
  • Team building and mentorship

NYC hiring range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in New York City is $169,100 to $230,000 per year. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of NYC will differ.
