Overview:

JHNA is currently seeking a talented Senior Architect/Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) who will support the Army's Degraded Visual Environment - Mitigation (DVE-M) program initiatives. The successful candidate will use Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques to support Open Systems Architecture approaches.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain models using modeling languages such as Unified Modeling Language (UML), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), Unified Profile for DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM), and Integration DEFinition (IDEF).
  • Experience with various model-based system-engineering tools - Rhapsody, Cameo Magic Draw, etc.
  • Develop system models and create representations using data architectures and data models to facilitate interoperability.
  • Test, analyze, and evaluate systems using MBSE artifacts
  • Broad systems engineering experience (e.g. system architecture and design, systems documentation, system requirements, CONOPS, systems verification).
  • Experience developing, deriving, and allocating tiered Systems Engineering requirements (preferably, in Aerospace & Defense applications).
  • Understanding system interface requirements and interface management.
  • Participating in system requirements reviews and creating and/or updating requirement specifications and technical documentation.
  • Reviewing system engineering documentation to ensure specifications meet system needs and are accurate.
  • Participate in the development of trade studies to support the selection preferred design solutions and course of action alternatives in project development/product delivery.
  • Participate in project/program technical risk analysis and mitigation.
  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills.


Qualifications Required:


  • Bachelors and ten (10) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD and three (3) years related experience.
  • Must have an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
  • 5+ years of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools and procedures.
  • Experience in modeling avionics and real time systems desired.
