Qualifications:
  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent people skills with experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team
  • Excellent analytical, communication and organization skills
  • BA in Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • 4+ years of Finance/Accounting experience
  • Proficiency in general ledger
  • Prior Auditing Experience a plus
  • Lawson experience a plus
  • Hyperion/Oracle experience a plus
  • Position is considered non-exempt
  • Must be willing to work in a "hybrid/flex" environment which will require both on-site and remote work as designated by USTA, and may be updated from time to time.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $65,000-$75,000.
This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.

Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the month end close, while working with all levels to manage revenues, expenses and operating budgets.

  • Review/code purchase requisitions, work tickets, operating expense invoices and check requests in Concur.
  • Complete and maintain month-end and year-end closing procedures in accordance with GAAP (including, but not limited to Hyperion financials and Lawson general ledger, accrual entries, revenue deferrals/recognition entries, rebills, revenue & cash reconciliations, cash book entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and variance analysis), produce internal month-end and year-end financial reports.
  • Analyze all key balance sheets (monthly), revenue and expense variances. Assist with preparation of organizational P&L variance analysis and projection updates.
  • Assist Director of Finance with annual operating budget development for US Open Facility Operations, and Year Round Facility Operations.
  • Responsible for maintaining budget changes and annual budget calendarization in Hyperion system. Create and maintain budget presentations in Powerpoint for all Budget Committee review meetings.
  • Responsible for all Special Events billings/payments and reconcile labor and event related invoices. Produce P&L recaps for all events and required reporting for lease compliance.
  • Responsible for the financial forecasting of all daily deployments for the US Open Security operations.
  • Responsible for reconciliation of all US Open Transportation expenses.
  • Responsible for reconciliation of all US Open F&B revenue and event expenses.
  • Proactively monitor trends to identify risks and opportunities across key revenue and expense categories.
  • Responsible for assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.
  • Respond to both internal and external audit inquiries regarding all financial matters. Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies and issues of non-compliance.
  • Assist the Director of Finance with the preparation of Financial Models and ad hoc reporting required to support the Chief Operating Officer, NTC; Chief Financial Officer; Controller; and Board of Directors/Budget Committee.
  • Other duties as assigned.
