This Senior Accountant position is a rotational role with the goal of obtaining a foundational understanding of the day-to-day accounting functions at FORCE America as well as obtaining and building relationships with associates in all areas of the Company, in preparation for an Accounting Manager role in the future.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Accounts receivable – develop an understanding of FORCE America’s customers and basic sales support along with customer collections, cash application and problem solving.
  • Cost accounting – develop an understanding of FORCE America’s products, and the accounting for those products. This will include topics of inventory costing, variance reporting and production order processing.
  • Accounts Payable – develop an understanding of FORCE America’s vendors and basic procurement support along with invoice entry, invoice payment and problem solving.
  • General Accounting – develop an understanding of FORCE America’s financial reporting including sales and use tax reporting, account reconciliations and other review items.
  • Teamwork and Values – create productive work relationships and demonstrate FORCE America values when interacting with FORCE America associates in all departments.
  • Assist with the implementation of a new ERP system where it intersects with the accounting department.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of number of years’ experience and education.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • 5 years of experience or more in a combination of general accounting, cost accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise teams
  • Strong leadership, problem solving skills and demonstrated decision making skills.
  • CPA Preferred
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced work environment
