GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Atlas Aegis LLC is currently accepting applications for the role of Security Officer at one of ourNashville-based corporate headquarters. The successful candidate has 2 to 4 years of increasingly difficult work experience within the field of security. The successful candidate will greet and properly direct visitors, identify and report incidents, and will be responsible for the security and safety of our clients’ personnel and property. They will periodically tour the assigned facility to identify irregularities, observe protection and fire control equipment, uphold order, and enforce security regulations for the facility regarding the premises, personnel, and visitors.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors and the premises. 
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Adhere to all company service and operating standards. 
• Remain in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Immediately respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers.
• Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues.
• Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, and traffic control.
• Adhere to the Post orders manual and other site-specific regulations for the assignment. 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Arrive for work on time and with the proper equipment. 
• Appearance must be neat and clean.
• Always have a courteous and helpful demeanor. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge

• High school diploma/GED required

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation

Experience

• 2+ years' experience in the security field or equivalent military experience.
• 21+ years of age
• Proven history of working well in stressful situations
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures. 
• Military, Police, and first responder experience is a plus. *

Licensing

• Guard License from the State of Tennessee (Armed or Unarmed)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Long periods of standing or sitting may be required for this position.Long periods of time outdoors may be required during periods of inclement weather. i.e. rain, snow, hot or cold weather, etc.The candidate may be required to pass a physical examination by a licensed physician.Work Schedule may require 12 hours or more on shift.

• 8 hour shift
• Weekend availability
