Responsibilities

  • Observe and report suspicious activities or behavior
  • Respond to alarms and security related incidents
  • Report and document all accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety/ fire hazards and other security related situations
  • Investigate security breaches and conduct follow-up investigations
  • Provide assistance to all visitors

Qualifications

Minimum

    • Six (6) months experience as a security officer in a hospital or healthcare setting, prior law enforcement or military service; or one (1) year experience as a security officer.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; or three (3) years’ experience as a security officer.
    • Valid AZ driver's license with satisfactory DMV report on file
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
    • Workplace violence training annually.
    • IAHSS Basic Training for Healthcare Security Officer within 90 days of hire.

Preferred

    • Completion of college-level education courses in criminal justice
    • One (1) year experience as a Security Officer in a hospital or healthcare setting, prior law enforcement or military service

Pay Range

$14.82 - $20.38 /hour
