Position

We are looking for a Security Officer to join our team! This individual would be responsible for all physical security measurements within the dispensary. The ideal person would have an extreme attention to detail and is reliable in an independent role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce Solar Cannabis Co.'s safety and security procedures
• Enthusiastically greet all customers, staff and visitors that enter the building
• Check identification of all customers and visitors before permitting them inside the building
• Monitor the security cameras and help prevent/investigate diversion
• Receive packages/deliveries
• Assist with state inspections
• Assist with general store issues
• Answer front desk phone and direct calls accordingly
• Write various reports (post event and informational)
• Develop action plans with the Security Manager to ensure execution and follow up of physical security gaps
• Maintain compliance and records as required by the state and municipality
• Integrate and maintain relationships with local law enforcement, fire department, and all other emergency services
• Other duties as assigned by the Security Manager

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience in security or a related field
• Past training or experience with non-violent crisis intervention, behavior management, or other safety-awareness based training a plus
• Great time management skills
• Must be proactive, have a strong work ethic and pay great attention to detail
• Comfortable with handling confidential information

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Possess valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Must pass all required background checks.
• Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
• Occasionally moves up to 30+ pounds of equipment/materials/product within rooms (100 pounds with assistance).
• This job function may include being in a stationary position, or moving for extended periods of time.
