What You'll Do:

Job Overview-

Under immediate supervision, monitors and patrols assigned areas to observe and protect Company assets while adhering to all established Company and department policies and procedures. This is an entry level trainee position. Officers are encouraged to move to Security Guard 2 level after successful completion of SG2 testing after 3 months.

Location- Fresno, CA

Job Responsibilities-

• Provides excellent customer service while on mobile patrol, at fixed posts or during special events.
• Provides security services for special Company and family related functions when required
• Drives family owned vehicles and transports family members when assigned.
• Performs special security or safety related services when assigned by Security Management.
• Communicates professionally, respectfully and tactfully in both written and oral forms in order to establish and maintain effective relationships in the performance of required duties.
• Exercises discretion in dealing with confidential information.
• Accommodate reasonable requests of the principle(s).

What You Will Need:

• High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
• Required to be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Required to successfully meet all requirements, including background, for the issuance of a Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Guard Card.
• Basic MS Word skills required.
• Required to maintain current CPR/AED and First Aid certification (Company Training Provided).
• Required to complete Advanced Taser Training.
• Within the first week of employment, required to successfully complete a course of instruction to obtain and maintain a Guard Card from the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services.
• Required to work nights, weekends and holidays as part of a rotating shift.
• Required to work overtime if necessary.
• Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
• Required to stand, sit, walk or drive a vehicle for a minimum of 12 consecutive hours with minimal breaks.
• Required to frequently lift, drag or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include correctable to 20/20 vision with peripheral vision.
• Required to climb stairs and ladders.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Skilled in writing routine reports and correspondence.
• Candidates are required to complete a credit check for this position; the results do not automatically disqualify a candidate from employment, but will be individually evaluated to determine if the results disqualify the candidate for employment in such a position.
• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
