Overview:
The Recruiter is responsible for working closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager to achieve aggressive staffing goals. He/she will handle a variety of recruiting functions including, but not limited to: fielding/screening phone calls, scheduling interviews, placing recruitment ads, and attending job fairs and other recruiting events. Daily duties also include working the front desk and greeting our applicants, administrative duties, and all other special projects as assigned.
Responsibilities:
  • Assists Career Center staff.
  • Greets applicants in a friendly & professional manner, answering any questions they may have, as well as explaining the online application and interviewing process.
  • Communicates with all applicants in a professional, ethical & legal manner on the telephone, via email, and face to face.
  • Places employment ads and regularly reviews other employment ads to assess competition.
  • Utilizes candidate database to seek out candidates for pre-screening/interviewing.
  • Conducts phone pre-screening interviews to determine best fit for in person interviews.
  • Sets appointments or organizes on the spot interviews for all qualified walk-in applicants.
  • Uses preliminary screening form to evaluate initial impressions.
  • Ensures each candidate is aware of their application status i.e. Hold, TBNT, etc. when they call back and follow up if they have not been advised during their interview.
  • Interviews candidates and extends offers.
  • Organizes all hire packs and applications at the beginning of each day of on boarding.
  • Conducts daily follow-up of all no call no shows for onboarders.
  • Compiles daily, weekly and monthly data for reporting - assists in report generation.
  • Works closely with the fellow recruiters to develop weekly and monthly recruiting game plans to ensure targets are met.
  • Communicates with all applicants in a professional, ethical & legal manner on the telephone, via email, and face to face.
  • Has Human Resources understanding of ADA, EEO, FMLA, Affirmative Action, and Gold Key|PHR SOP guidelines for interviewing.
Qualifications:
Education
HS Diploma required

Experience
Previous experience working in a Human Resources/recruiting environment preferred (six months)

Skill
Ability to communicate professionally; must demonstrate the ability to conduct effective interviews

Skill
Basic computer literacy required (MS Word and Excel)
