Job Title: Executive Director

Hours: Full time, salaried, exempt position

Reports To:  Vice President of Waiver Operations

 

Overview of Position:

The Executive Director reports to the Vice President of Waiver Operations (VPWO) and is responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives. The Executive Director also serves as the Program Director under SCL and Michelle P Waiver regulations.

 

Qualifications:

The Executive Director of AssuredLink is to have, at a minimum:

A Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution or be a Registered Nurse;

Have at least two (2) years of administrative responsibility:

In an organization that supports people with an intellectual or developmental disability; and

That includes experience in the execution of the overall administration of an agency including;

Development, implementation, and accountability of the agency’s budget;

Development, review, and implementation of the agency’s policies and procedures; and

Supervision of employees including conducting performance evaluations;

Must be eighteen years or older;

A valid Social Security number or a valid work permit if not a U.S. citizen; 

Ability to understand and carry out instructions and have the ability perform required record keeping; 

Strong management and supervisory skills and experience; and

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

Responsibilities:

Assure the organization has a long-range strategy which achieves its mission, and toward which it makes consistent and timely progress.

Provide leadership in developing program, organizational and financial plans with the Vice President of Waiver Operations and staff, and carry out plans and policies authorized.

Maintain official records and documents, and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations including but not limited to the SCL and Michelle P Waiver regulations.

Seeing that the VPWO is kept fully informed on the condition of the organization and all-important factors influencing it.

Ensure SCL and MPW compliance by communicating effectively with the DDID Quality Administrator.

Direct supervision of employees, including annual evaluations.

Establish sound working relationships and cooperative arrangements with community groups and organizations.

Represent the programs mission and core values of the organization to agencies, organizations, and the general public.

Be responsible for the recruitment, employment, and release of all personnel, both paid staff and volunteers.

Ensure that job descriptions are developed, that regular performance evaluations are held, and that sound human resource practices are in place.

Encourage staff and volunteer development and education, and assist program staff in relating their specialized work to the total program of the organization.

Maintain a positive, open, and happy culture climate which attracts, keeps, and motivates a diverse staff of top quality people.

Maintain a positive attitude at all times.

Be responsible for developing and maintaining sound financial practices.

Work with staff and the board in preparing a budget and seeing that the organization operates within budget guidelines.

Ensure that adequate funds are available to permit the organization to carry out its work.

Jointly, with the VPWO, conduct official correspondence of the organization, and jointly, with designated officers, execute legal documents.

Pay: Up to $1.00 per year
