School Safety Officer for After School Program in Port Washington Job at Port Washington Children's Center
Job description
SSO(School Safety Officer) Job description: Follow and measure procedures taken to ensure the security of school building and classrooms used by the Port After School program. Work exclusively with Site Supervisor. Monday-Friday 3pm-6:30pm(starting at 2:30pm in certain locations).
SSO Job responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety, security, and welfare of all students, staff, and visitors.
- Monitor school property entrance.
- Authorize entrance of people and vehicles.
- Monitor PAS program in the school building.
- Report any suspicious behaviors and happenings.
- Secure all exits, doors, and windows.
- Monitor and instruct students, visitors, and District personnel on proper lawful facility behavior.
- Assist with the dismissal of the children attending the program.
School Safety Officer skills and proficiencies:
- Leadership and Team Player.
- Interpersonal Skills.
- Knowledge of Security Operations and Procedure.
- Manage Multiple Tasks.
- Knowledge of Basic Security and Fire Inspection Procedures.
- Candidates should be trained in first aid.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
