WEEKLY COMPENSATION & HOURS
- $16/hr
- 7am - 3pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES for the GROUNDSKEEPER
- Mows lawns, trims weeds, and rakes leaves as assigned. Trims bushes, shrubs, and hedges.
- Prepares soil and plants flowers, bushes, hedges, or shrubs.
- Applies fertilizer, pesticides, and herbicides as directed.
- Completes snow removal tasks such as shoveling sidewalks, steps, and doorways as needed during winter months.
- Operates snowblower or snowplow to clear roads, driveways, and parking lots.
- Performs routine maintenance on power equipment.
- Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment.***Must have Prior Groundskeeping experience****
- Must have a valid driver's license
ESSENTIAL DUTIES for the MAINTENANCE WORKER OPENING
***must have maintenance work experience***
- Does emergency cleaning as needed (e.g. blood, vomit, burst water pipes).
- Inspects, maintains, and may make minor repairs on the heating and cooling systems, boilers, and electrical, mechanical, and sound equipment.
- Changes air filters as needed.
- Maintains and may repair custodial and building related equipment ( ex: Painting, minor repairs etc)
- Maintains and may repair school fixtures and furniture. Assembles furniture.
- Assists students by opening or repairing lockers, opening doors, letting down baskets and bleachers, etc.
- Cares for the grounds, including watering, mowing, and trimming the lawns, picking up trash, and removing ice and snow when necessary.
- Prepares and maintains athletic fields and gym floors. Installs and maintains athletic equipment.
- Sets up equipment for special school events or programs and cleans up afterwards.
- Works with the public on community functions held at the schoolsetting up equipment, assisting with crowd control, cleanup, etc.
- Assists the cafeteria workers with heavy lifting and other tasks. Assists with cafeteria cleanup and waste disposal. Cleans up spills.
- Assists in maintaining security of building, which may include locking and unlocking the building, performing weekend and holiday building checks, and maintaining the fire and burglar alarms.
- Cleans assigned areas of the building as needed. Assists with general cleanup of the school.
