Family Service League is seeking a full-time Counselor to provide therapy for adolescents with a full range of DSM diagnoses in an educational setting, connected to an outpatient mental health clinic.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide individual and group therapy to children/adolescents with a full range of DSM diagnoses in a school-based setting.
• Provide direct services both in person and via telehealth.
• Complete all clinical documentation in accordance with NYS Office of Mental Health in an electronic medical record, including progress notes, comprehensive assessments and Individual Actions Plans.
• Provide collateral contacts with all relevant referral sources, including family members.
• Coordinate and provide linkage to community resources and for discharge planning.
• Attend routine supervision/team meetings
• Provide additional support/services to the clinic as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree in relevant human service field required.
• LMSW, LMHC, LCSW or related licensed clinical degree/permit required.
• At least one year of experience working in a behavioral health setting required.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills required.
• Candidate must possess the ability to multitask, problem solve, make clear decisions, and work individually and as part of a team.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records required.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
