Responsibilities:
Job Summary
The inpatient therapy scheduler ensures that all patients admitted to the IRF are scheduled for and ultimately receive therapy services per regulatory requirements. Services should be delivered in congruence with advisement from each patient’s attending medical doctor and clinical needs/indications. Therapy should also be scheduled in a manner to maximize staff resources and efficiency, to support smooth overall departmental operations. The scheduler should coordinate with therapy supervisors and manager, administrative support, language services, and staff therapists to ensure schedules are accurate and easily accessible to the rehab team. Avoiding conflicts and assuring communication of vital information to required parties. Meticulous attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
Qualifications:
Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):
High School diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
Experience (required and preferred):
Required:
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent professional or administrative experience
Preferred:
  • 5 years of administrative experience at the senior executive level
