Schedgistrar I - Centralized Scheduling - Full Time Day Shift Job at Carson-Tahoe Regional Healthcare
Position Summary
The Schedgistrar 1 is responsible for scheduling procedures/visits for either Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare or Carson Tahoe Medical Group, but not both. Duties include obtaining and updating required demographic and insurance information from patients. Communicates all necessary information regarding coverage, benefits, co-pays/deductible and preporatory instructions so that patients arrive prepared for their visits. Responsible for the accuracy of appointments scheduling and patient registration information.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of experience in either a healthcare setting, patient access, call center, scheduling, customer service, or clinical role.
- Extensive experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to analyze data
- Experience in Epic reporting and patient access workflow
- Familiarity with call center workflows and technology
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to visually present information and data in a clear manner
- Proven organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management abilities
- Ability to be flexible and work independently as necessary
- Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills with all levels of internal and external customers.
