Monday through Thursday (4) – 10 hours days – Enjoy Friday, Saturday, and Sunday OFF! Opportunity for overtime!

SUMMARY: Unloads and loads trucks, physically moves materials within or near plant, cuts material to specification and matches material to work order packet and work centers. Supports other departments when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelving by hand.
• Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination. May do the previous duties by using material handling equipment up to and including pallet jacks, lift trucks, hoists, and by hand or by crane/hoisting operator.
• Reads work orders and follows instructions both written and orally, to ascertain materials and containers to be processed.
• Operates machinery to do a variety of material alteration responsibilities.
• Cuts/alters material per specifications on the work orders.
• Matches materials to work orders.
• Moves work orders paperwork and raw material to the appropriate work center physically and electronically using system. Computer data entry skills are necessary to maintain accuracy through data integrity.
• Communicates with various departments to maintain a constant flow of materials processes.
• Maintains area to be neat and clean, maintains shelving to have accuracy on inventory locations and maintains equipment and machinery.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supports other Materials Group areas such as Stores, Shipping/Receiving and Subcontracting Departments. May also support production work centers in a variety of tasks to be assigned by the work center’s supervisor.
• Removes samples of materials, labels, with identifying information and takes necessary action to send to laboratory for analysis.
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and band bundles together.
• Assembles/disassembles and maintains equipment to facilitate the movement of materials, example portable conveyers, boxes, etc.
• Shovels loose materials such as chips, shavings, oil-dry compounds, etc. Using appropriate containers for the movement of these materials.
