Sanitation Tech Job at Alphia
Objective of the position: Sanitation associates are responsible for housekeeping, pest control, wet cleaning and sanitation of equipment in the plant.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Empty trash
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and sanitize floors and stairs
- Wash walls
- Clean and sanitize equipment, forklifts and tanks
- Operate the floor scrubber
- Learn and report signs of insects or rodents
- Perform overhead cleaning of piping and equipment
- May drive forklift or use pallet jack to moved pallets
- May lock out and tag out equipment
- Follow work instructions and SSOP’s
- Various other duties as assigned by Sanitation Lead or QA Manager
Food Safety:
- Follow company GMP program
- Report any food safety issues to shift supervisor
- Perform company Sanitation Procedures
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Position may require lifting, bending, crawling, kneeling, standing for long periods of time, reaching, frequent walking, frequent ladder climbing.
Occupational Safety:
Follow company safety protocols and procedures
Report any identified safety risks to safety committee member or management
