The Santa Lucia Preserve is hiring a Membership Sales Manager. This position is paid a base salary plus commission.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develops lucrative membership products and programming demonstrating strong and precise knowledge of the membership operating plan.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the clubs’ bylaws, and customs & courtesies, educating the members’ of the rules and policies set forth by the boards, handling any corrective behavior and/or discipline.
  • Regularly attends Golf, Ranch and Preserve-related events to cultivate relationships with members and to foster member engagement and referrals.
  • Tracks and reviews data to strategize member engagement protocols, with the goal of increasing member usage and retainment.
  • Sets short/mid/long range goals for member satisfaction, usage percentages, retention and conversion.
  • works with the marketing team to strategize effective methods of lead generation and high level conversion rates.
  • Referral business - works with the marketing and communications team to develop campaigns, effectively leveraging positive relationships within the community, to nurture referral business.
  • Maintains collateral inventory and distribution.
  • Conducts tours and experiences for prospective members in conjunction with Real Estate professionals as needed.
  • Administers and fully executes all processes of membership applications, to include background and reference checks processed in a timely manner, organizes interviews, prepares posting material for general membership feedback, and manages boards approvals.
  • Arranges orientation and integration of new members in partnership with General Manager and department heads.
  • Membership Status Changes & Resignation Process
  • Demonstrates a precise knowledge of the policies and procedures of status changes and resignations for each membership type; following the standards and procedures associated with each club.
  • Manages the resignation process for all members, including the resignation list, and quarterly status updates to those listed for sale.
  • Financial and Reporting Responsibilities
  • Assists the Director of Sales in preparing the annual membership sales budgets for The Ranch Club and The Preserve Golf Club.
  • Assists department in achieving budgeted membership financial goals throughout the year through proper forecasting, cost controls, and revenue generating programs.
  • Compiles necessary data for applicable parts of the budget
  • Prepares monthly forecasts/sales reports and other reporting as requested by the Boards of the Directors and committees.

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Sales, Marketing, Public Relations and/or Communications, and/or a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A current and valid California driver’s license with a good driving record is required
  • CMAA and/or PCMA Member, desired but not required.
