The Sales Manager - Retail position is located at our Cher-Make facility. Our Sales Manager - Retail offers a team-oriented individual the opportunity to be responsible for helping develop and implement retail sales strategies for the Cher-Make and Smoky Valley brands as well as for strategic retail private label opportunities. This position will require you to either work in the Corporate office in Manitowoc or remotely from your home office in Wisconsin.

What you'll do:

  • Under the direct supervision of the Director of Sales, develop, maintain, and expand existing accounts.
  • Develop specific account strategies designed to deliver growth in volume and profitability.
  • Define and quantify markets for new products as requested.


What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing.
  • Business Account Acumen in retail branded selling.
  • Account Penetration/Relationship Building: Candidate should have a proven track record of building key business relationships in the food industry preferable in meat.
  • Category Insights: Candidate must have experience utilizing syndicated data to better understand their business and the category dynamics. Must then be able to utilize those insights to execute their business plan.
