Brentwood Self Storage has an immediate opening for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have retail sales and customer service experience, with good people skills and the ability to multi-task. This is an hourly position of approximately 35-40 hours per week, with advancement opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:


As a Sales Associate, you will be the face of the store to our customers, giving you the opportunity to demonstrate and sharpen your customer service skills. You will also have the opportunity to gain valuable self-storage experience, as this position is responsible for assisting in all aspects of our daily operations. Candidates must be reliable, personable, and motivated to succeed. The primary duties are renting storage units, selling retail merchandise, providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a first-class facility, and assisting with basic facility maintenance. Sales Associates will also learn to operate our best-in-class property management software.


Essential Functions:


  • Provide exceptional customer service to current and potential customers.
  • Answer phone inquiries from prospective tenants, and convert phone inquiries into site visits.
  • Show property to prospective tenants, explain terms of occupancy and provide information about facility.
  • Convert showings to signed leases.
  • May be required to be outdoors for extended periods of time.
  • Handle accounts receivable, including calling on delinquent accounts.
  • Some physical activity which includes daily property walks, cleaning units, and other light maintenance.
  • Reports to on-site Store Manager.

Requirements:


  • Successful candidates are experienced in customer-centered, selling environments, or the mindset and willingness to learn.
  • Previous self-storage experience is not required, we will train.
  • Flexible schedule with weekend availability.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Willingness to work at multiple facilities (sister facility Oakley Self Storage less than 5 miles away).
  • Must pass a company provided background screening.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Comfortable working alone on some shifts.
