JobSummary: The Sales Associate will provide sales and administrative support to the sales teams responsible for selling UNSQ & Co. books and products to the Mass channel (big box, chain, grocery, airport stores) and non-traditional book, Specialty outlets.

An employee in this position can expect an hourly starting rate between $25 and $27, depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.

WhatYouDo:
  • Support the sales strategy for new and existing Mass and Specialty Channel accounts
  • Provide administrative support including but not limited to preparing for sales presentations: running sales reports, creating custom catalogs, designing PowerPoint presentations, managing account portals, and organizing sales materials
  • Provide forecasting and sales analyses for accounts on daily and weekly basis or as needed
  • Work with Marketing to obtain best materials and timely information for sales presentations
  • Manage and process orders from all Mass and Specialty Channel accounts; work closely with the inventory team to manage stock demands and order release timelines
  • Collaborate with accounts on marketing plans and promotions
  • Facilitate mailings of catalogs and book samples to accounts
  • Evaluate market trends and be informed of market conditions, product innovations and competitor products
  • Self- starter with drive to develop the role while proactively identifying and pursuing new revenue opportunities
  • Attend regular company, department and seasonal meetings and provide relevant input
  • Assist with special projects and finds ways to increase incremental revenue within accounts and with new accounts
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships and knowledge of account base while addressing customer needs
Knowledge&Experience:
  • Excellent customer service and follow up skills
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must be highly organized and can prioritize workload
  • Proven ability to work in fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Interest in sales and book publishing required
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and Teams
