Our Cooks have the opportunity to work a variety of stations in the kitchen and help:

• Prepare sandwiches and salads
• Make deli salads, dressings & spreads, and appetizers
• Cook soups & sauces from scratch
• Operate a meat slicer
• Assist other prep stations as needed, especially during our busy lunch rush
• Working alongside talented, friendly, long-term staff members who share their experience and knowledge
• Opportunities to cross-train and move up
• CLOSED on Mondays and NO late nights. For events we're done and out early evening.

Part Time Schedules

• · Early morning to mid-afternoon
• · Working on Saturday and Sunday required
• · Available at least 3 days/week

We're looking for people who:

• Love to work with people
• Possess at least 6 months* of food production experience within the past two (2) years in a restaurant, hotel, banquet, catering or similar operation
• Know food, have good knife skills, and work quickly and precisely
• Thrive in a busy, organized environment
• Enjoy teamwork and helping customers
• Seek long-term employment---one year or more
• Understand that hospitality staff works when others are playing, especially on Saturdays, Sundays and during the Holiday Season (Nov. 1 through Dec. 31)
• Welcome a drama-free, smoke-free, drug-free environment
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis

Responsibilities for Prep Cook

• Assist the head chef by chopping vegetables and washing food items
• Ensure kitchen equipment and appliances are ready for use
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment at all times
• Prepare salads, breads, salad dressings and sauces
• Gather food ingredients from the refrigerator or freezer as required by the chef
• Ensure food is stored away properly when not in use
• Study the menu and prepare ingredients ahead of schedule
• Learn about the cooking methods and techniques employed in the kitchen
